Dorothy Vintila, 77, passed away May 24, 2017 at the Autumnwood Nursing Home in Rittman after a short illness. She was born August 9, 1939 to the late Maude and George Robinson of Wadsworth.
Dorothy graduated from Wadsworth in 1959 where she lived most of her life. Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wadsworth and The Society for Handicapped Citizens of Medina County. She was an avid Wadsworth history buff, a talented artist, and a caring soul for disabled children and all animals.
She was preceded in death by her husband Olin “Bill” Vintila, her sisters Marilyn (Dale, dec.) Houglan, and Laurel Robinson.
She leaves behind her sisters Phyllis (Homer, dec.) Baldwin of Wadsworth, Janice (Ken) Welch of Rittman, Barbara Sue (Dave) Bickel of Bismarck, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Home Instead Senior Care of Wadsworth, Meals on Wheels of Wadsworth, and her friends of the class of ’57.
The family will receive friends from 10am-12pm Tuesday, May 30th with services immediately following at 12 noon at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St, Wadsworth. A luncheon will follow at 1:00pm at the United Methodist Church, 195 Broad St., Wadsworth, OH 44281, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
Interment will be held Wednesday, May 31st at 10:00am at Hinckley Ridge Cemetery, 571 Center Rd., Hinckley, OH.
