Darwin (Mike) Stonestreet passed peacefully on May 12, 2016. He was born October 8, 1923 in Butler, Indiana. He is survived by his son, Michael (Paula) Stonestreet of Edwardsburg, Michigan and Michele Ray of Wadsworth, Ohio. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was married to Virginia Stonestreet for 52 years until her death on March 3, 2002. He retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company after 40 years of service.

Known for his love of fishing, summers spent on Christie Lake, growing roses, cooking and his true love for his family and grandchildren. His witty sense of humor and his kindness for others will never be forgotten.

The family will receive family and friends from 3-6pm, Monday, May 16, 2016 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bandix Drive, South Bend, Indiana with a Catholic Service held immediately following.
