Wadsworth, Ohio

Wadsworth — Dale Kocab, AKA The Bug Man, passed away on March 31, 2021. Dale was born June 21, 1952 to Joseph F. and Dorothy (Hegedus) Kocab in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was a 1970 graduate of Bedford High School. Dale worked in hospitals during the 1970’s before moving to the Akron-Wadsworth area. He worked as an exterminator for 33 years, 23 of which was with The Central Exterminating Company. Dale loved his Matchbox cars and his die cast car collection. Dale always said, “Hey! We survived the 70’s — keep on rockin’!”

Dale is survived by his brother, Ken Kocab (wife, Gayle); and sister, Karol Atkinson, all of Florida; nieces, Lara Kocab of Denver, Colo. and Linsday (Nick) Trutza of Independence, Ohio, and their daughters, Aubrey and Adeline; his former wife, Rebecca Kocab of Wadsworth and her two sons, Greg and Mike Pernod.

There will be visitation at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7th, with the funeral service immediately following at 12 noon. Facial coverings and social distancing will be observed. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio.
