Obituary
James Sheldon Bruno, 82, of Wadsworth passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015. He was born on December 31, 1932 in New Jersey to the late Frank and Ann Bruno.
Mr. Bruno was a U.S. Army Veteran in Korea, studied business management at Fairleigh Dickenson University in N.J, and was retired from the McCall’s Magazine Company where he had served as the National Subscription Sales Manager. After retiring he and his wife relocated to Colorado and he started a business selling at the Mile High Flea Market in Denver. They moved to Ohio and continued his Flea Market business Hartville. Mr. Bruno was a member of Mt Zwingli United Church of Christ and had served as both a Deacon and Elder. He was a Mason for over 50 years and was a member of Hudson Lodge 510 F&AM. Jim enjoyed watching TV and playing cards with family and friends.
Mr. Bruno was preceded in death by his siblings: Ann, Frank and Donald. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Joan, his son Mark F. Bruno (Katie), daughter Rev. Karen J. Bruno (Chris), four grandsons: Mitchell, Max, Nicholas (Amy) and Jack and one sister Marjorie Nagel.
The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth.
A memorial service will be conducted 11am Saturday at Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ, 2172 S. Medina Line Rd., Wadsworth with Rev. Keith D. Hejnal officiating. Inurnment with Military Honors will be held at 9:30 am Monday April 13th at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
