Imogene E. Althaus, age 83 of Wadsworth passed away October 28, 2012 at Magnolia Village. She was born on August 2, 1929 in Bluffton, OH the daughter of Hiram and Edith (Basinger) Wenger and married John J. Althaus on November 2, 1952.
Imogene was a homemaker and Registered Nurse and was an active member of First Mennonite Church of Wadsworth.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her son David (Nancy) of Delhi, New York, daughters Janice of Wadsworth and Cheryl (Joe) Bareiter of Marshallville, a grandson Benjamin Althaus, granddaughter Bethany Althaus, step granddaughter Jaclyne (Bareiter) Sesock, step grandson Joey Bareiter and a step great grandson James Bareiter.
A memorial service will be held at First Mennonite Church of Wadsworth, 405 Trease Rd., Wadsworth on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:00am, followed by a noon luncheon. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to First Mennonite Church or Hospice of Medina County.
