Michael Antro died on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. He was born May 31, 1949 in Akron, Ohio to Katherine and John Antro. He graduated from North High School and attended the University of Akron, where he was a member of the Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity.

He was employed by the Wadsworth Police Department, where he served the community for 29 years.

He is survived by his wife, Martha (Tighe), with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage, sons Jason (Tammy), Mike Jr., and grandchildren Olivia, Gabrielle, Grayson and Spencer.

He is also survived by brothers John and Ron Antro, and sister Karen (Antro) Wilkinson. Also surviving are in-laws Cecelia (Tighe) Roderick, Joan (Tighe) Schrader, Jerry and Suellen (Tighe) Lichty, James Tighe (Roberta), Michael Tighe (Christine), Mark Tighe (Terri) and a large extended family.

The family will receive friends Sunday 2 to 5 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Father Mike Ausperk celebrant, 272 Broad Street, Wadsworth.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
