Charlotte M. Appleman (nee Lilley) 90, of Wadsworth, quietly went home to be with her Lord and Savior July 19, 2012. Awaiting were her husband, Robert J., daughter Carolyn Jo King, parents Elsie and Emereld Lilley, and three grandchildren: Tony, Jackie and Baby John King and daughter-in-law Terri Appleman. She was born on April 15, 1922 in Lodi, lived in Wadsworth most of her life. Charlotte was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church, retired from Barberton Citizens Hospital and was a former employee of the Ohio Match, the Blue Sky Drive-In Concession Stand and Bill’s Diner. She was known for her beautiful penmanship, art work, and her kitchen was open to all. Charlotte is survived by her daughter Barbara (Jim) Campbell of Wadsworth, sons; Robert of Canal Fulton, Jim (Brian Lawson) of Howard, Warren of Wadsworth and son-in-law Jim King of Wadsworth. Her 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends 2-6 PM Sunday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday at Ambassador Baptist Church, 620 Trease Rd., Wadsworth with Pastor Michael Decker officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
