Edward H. Babbitt, 82 of Wadsworth passed away Oct. 25, 2012. Born Dec. 28. 1929 in Bexley, Ohio to the late Edward and Margaret (nee Herman) Babbitt.

Edward worked for Lumberman’s Insurance Company and retired from State Auto Insurance Company. Edward enjoyed golf and going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. He graduated from Bexley High School and Capital University and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Edward was preceded in death by his brother Robert Babbitt and sister Barbara Hysell. He is survived by his children Kris (Tom) Palecek, Scott L. (Nancy A.) Babbitt, grandchildren Chelsie, Tre, Anthony, Nick and Molly Palecek, sister Jean R. Babbitt, nephews Jack Knauer, Brent Babbitt, and niece Beth Bowen.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, Oct. 30th, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Please meet at the Welcome Center at 2:15pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wadsworth High School Athletic Department, 625 Broad St., Wadsworth, Oh. 44281.
