Doylestown –
Linda (Given) Bailey, 70, of Doylestown passed away August 13, 2016 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born October 20, 1945 in Sutton, West Virginia. Linda was a graduate of Wadsworth High School, and worked as a title clerk and secretary. She married Charles “Bob” Bailey in 1975, and they welcomed a son, Robert “Joe” Bailey in 1981.
She devoted much of her time and energy to being a homemaker and loving wife and mother. Linda enjoyed attending car shows with her husband, watching her son bowl, playing Bingo and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Surviving, husband Bob Bailey, son Joe Bailey, siblings Kay (John) Strickland, Jim(Cheryl) Given, Faye (Bob) Nixon, Judy (Pat) Riley, Mary (Lanny) Roberts, Sue (John) Kabasky, Ted (Debbie) Given, a sister-in law Nancy Given and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curg and Hildreth Given, brother Frank Given, and sister Jackie Richardson.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8pm at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where a funeral service will be conducted 10am Thursday with Pastor Michael Decker officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff at the acute palliative care unit at Summa Barberton for their care and compassion during Linda’s stay.
