Wadsworth –

Jean A. Batdorff, 90, of Wadsworth, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was born on January 1, 1926 in Wadsworth to the late Ernest and Charlotte Messner. Mrs. Batdorff was a former member of the Mother Singers, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and was an avid bowler.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard on February 14, 2009, son Michael in 2012, grandson Benjamin in 2005, brother Lloyd Messner and sister Clara Randall, Donna Lewis ,Lois Velloney, and Helen MIlls.

Jean is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law David and Linda, Dan and Rose, Matthew and Melanie, daughter Carol Warren, daughter and son-in-law Cathy and George Minton and daughter-in-law Jacqueline.

There are 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, her sister Carol Mills and several nieces and nephews also surviving.

A memorial service will be held 1pm Saturday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Butcher officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to service from 11-1pm. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Medina, 5075 Windfall Rd. Medina, OH 44256.
