Norma J. “Susie” Baxley. 82, of Wadsworth, headed West to be with the love of her life, Bill Baxley. She was born July 1, 1934 in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Orville and Esther Coates. Mrs. Baxley was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she sang in the choir. She was a member of the NRA, was a licensed pilot and was very active with Women’s Auxiliary of the Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her husband William H. “Bill” Baxley and her brother Ronald Coates.

Susie is survived by her daughter Leslie May of Dallas, Tx, son William H. Baxley Jr. and her grandchildren: Kimberlee Sue May Bommer, Rose Elizabeth Lass, Alyssa Catherine Baxley and Jason Daniel May. A memorial service will be conducted 2pm Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services from 1-2PM. Private inurnment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wadsworth Salvation Army, P.O. Box 300, Wadsworth, OH 44282.
