Rita C. Bender (nee Rospert), 83, of Bellevue passed away Saturday October 9, 2010. She was born March 18, 1927 in Reed Twp. to the late Theodore and Amelia Rospert.
Mrs. Bender was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she often volunteered. She was retired from GTE, had been active with Solo Parents and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Mrs. Bender was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Bender in 1963 and brother John Rospert in 2007.
Rita is survived by her son and daughter in law Lynn and Donna Bender of Worthington, OH daughter and son in law Leigh Ann and Todd Cecil of San Antonio, TX and her grandchildren Erika Bender of Melvindale, MI, Jacob Bender of Worthington, OH, Cortney Tuttle of Worthington, OH, Donald, Andrew and Scott Cecil all of San Antonio, TX. There are her sisters Margaret (Marge) Loose of Clyde, OH, Mary (Earl) Wetzel of Sandusky, OH brothers, Joseph (Ruth) Rospert of Tiffin, OH, Bernard (Ina) Rospert of Bellevue, OH, and Thomas (Elaine) Rospert of Wadsworth, OH, and sister in law Mary Rospert of Bellevue, OH. There are numerous nieces and nephews and cousins also surviving.
The family will receive friends 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St. Bellevue, OH where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30AM Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 231 Center St., Bellevue, OH Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellevue.
