John Calvin Bernhard, 92, of Sharon Twp. passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was born October 15, 1925, in Akron to the late John Carlton and Blondine Marie Bernhard.
Mr. Bernhard was a graduate of Copley High School, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and was a member of the Bath Good Times Group.
He enjoyed camping with the Barth Motor Coach Group and the Ohio Nomads and was a full time farmer. He enjoyed traveling and working on the farm. Mr. Bernhard was preceded in death by wife Vivian Marie Bernhard on September 27, 2009. John is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Phillip and Patricia Bernhard, nieces Sharon (Joe) Fox and Ann Marie Krautheim, great nieces; Nicole Fox, Ashley Krautheim, Christina (Jack) Breese, Stacey Krautheim, Mikayla Fox, great-great nieces; Kennedy and Cora Breese and his dear friend Betty Schuster. The family will receive friends 12-2 PM Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm with Pastor Jane Piehl, of Sharon United Methodist Church officiating, Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
