Obituary
David M. Black, 82, of Wadsworth passed away May 28, 2017. He was born January 6, 1935 in Jackson Center, PA to the late Jay and Anna Marilla Black. He was also preceded in death by nephew Andrew Stevens Black.
David was part owner of Admiral Retread Company in Wadsworth. He was Wadsworth Citizen of the year. He was active in Kiwanis for many years and served as an officer with the Wadsworth High School Band Boosters. He and his wife were Youth Leaders for many years at United Methodist Church. He was a Wadsworth City Councilman and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Black; children Jackie (Ray) O’Donnell of Oswego, IL, Debi (Lyle) Krebill of Lafayette, CO, Vickie (Mike) Kelley of Wadsworth, OH; grandchildren Luke, Brendan, Hannah, and Sydney Kelley, Jackson and Jarod Krebill; siblings James (Cathy) Black of Cleveland, OH, Margaret Ann Lindey of Grove City, PA, and Mary Lou Kay of Morehead City, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 5-8 pm Thursday June 1, 2017 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11 am at Wadsworth United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Ebert officiating, 195 Broad St. Family will also receive friends 1 hour prior to service from 10-11 am.
