Shelbia (nee DeBoard) Bode, 81, of Lodi, Ohio passed away March 4, 2018. She was born October 11, 1936 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Russell and Grace DeBoard.

She loved her dogs, Molly and Kayli, and enjoyed bowling, golf, bridge, and watching the Cleveland sports teams, especially the Cavs. Her joy in life came from spending time with her family and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harold Bode; son Jeffrey Bode; siblings Nelle, Russell Jr., Bufford, Susan, Paul, and Charlotte.

She is survived by her children LaVonna (Dan) Dressler, Georgia (Mike) Bode, D. Craig (Betsy) Bode; and grandchildren Matthew (Chanel) Bode, Bret Dressler, Derek (Melissa) Bode, Corrisa Bode, Ryan (Amber) Dressler, and Nicole (Nate) Smalley and great grandchildren, Alyssa, Nathan, Joshua, Zoey, Hailey, Braxton and Logan. Shelbia also held a very special place in her heart for her care giver Anne Kemp.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 19, at 4pm at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior from 3-4pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to VNS Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
