Wadsworth –

Dale Boling, 100, an amazing husband, Dad, Grandpa, Pa and friend to many, passed away September 14, with is family by his side. His smile warmed many hearts and brightened many lives.

Dale was born n Rittman, OH on June 26, 1916 to Harley and Clara Boling. He graduated from Rittman High School and went on to business school. Dale’s strong work ethic took him to different jobs retiring from BF Goodrich after 38 years and then working another 25 for a local grocer. Dale served in the Army and was a World War II veteran, stationed in North Africa and Italy. Dale loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Christmas was a favorite time of year for him. He loved decorating the outdoors and took great pride in his lighting displays and gift wrapping skills. He had a passion for golf and was fortunate to golf until he was 95. He golfed in many leagues, his final one being at Ridge Top Golf Course. He was also an avid Indians and Browns fan. The last few years have brought struggles with his health, and especially the loss of his wife Louise, after 72 years of marriage. Through it all Dale never complained and had an ever-ready smile.
