James Hickox Bouscher, 89, of Wadsworth Twp., passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was born November 5, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Merlin and Helen Bouscher.

Mr. Bouscher moved to Barberton at the age of 11, enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard at the age of 17 and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII on the LST18. When discharged in 1946 he lived in Michigan until 1967 when he moved back to Ohio and continued raising his family in Stow and then retiring to Wadsworth.

He was a career Journeyman Tool and Die maker and enjoyed strenuous hard labor working in his yard; the man loved to move dirt by hand in a wheelbarrow.

He is survived by his wife Jean with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage, his children; Christopher (Jennifer) of Miami, FL, Jim (Robin) of Waterford, MI, Bill of Huntingwoods, MI, Gene (Debbie) of Dutton, VA, Scott (Patricia) of Columbia Station, OH, Shawn (Karen) of Wadsworth, OH, Jamie Lynn Bouscher-Helbig (Jeff) of Westerville, OH and Stuart of Lakewood, OH.

There are 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one sister Jean Helen Brown of Virginia also surviving.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth.

Friends will be received 1 hour prior to services from 12 noon – 1:00pm. Interment with Military Honors will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the nurses from Summa at Home Hospice for their loving care and support.
