Jean F Bouscher, age 83 of Wadsworth, passed away early morning August 15, 2023. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 15, 1939 to Tom and Francisca (Wojtka) Weir and grew up in Royal Oak, MI.  In 1967 she moved to Northeast Ohio with her husband Jim and continued raising her growing family in Stow, Ohio. Once her youngest son was in school, she returned to school and graduated from the Idabelle Firestone school of Nursing as an LPN and then soon after obtained her RN degree. She spent her career at Akron City Hospital and retired as an ICU nurse from Summa Akron. After retiring she settled in Wadsworth, Ohio and spent the past

20 years quilting, playing cards, spending time with grandchildren, participating in dementia and central tremor studies and reconnecting with late friends and family at Lily Dale, New York.

Jean was a good friend to many and is survived by her children, Scott

(Patty) Bouscher, Shawn (Karen) Bouscher, Stuart Bouscher, Jamie (Jeff) Bouscher-Helbig; her step-children, Chris (Jennifer) Bouscher, Jim

(Robin) Bouscher, Bill Bouscher, Gene (Debbie) Bouscher; her sisters, Laurie (Kevin) Smith and Gail (Vance) Witmer; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H.

Bouscher; her brother Thomas Weir; and her parents.

Jean’s final request was for her cerebral matter to be donated to the Columbia University Essential Tremor Centralized Brain Study program; She always said a mind is a terrible thing to waste.  Also, she hoped that friends and family come visit her at Lily Dale, just to stay in touch.

Cremation has already occurred and ashes will be interred at Western Reserve National Cemetery along with her husband, and some scattered somewhere in the Rocky Mountains.
