Russell W. Brasse, 57 of Wadsworth died at home under the care of hospice, Tuesday July 10, 2012 after a battle with ALS. He was born on his mother’s birthday September 20, 1954 in Lodi, OH to the late Bill and Miriam Brasse of Spencer, OH. Mr. Brasse was a graduate of Black River High School and Akron University. He worked for Carter Lumber for 30 years and most recently was employed at Home Depot. He was a member of Wadsworth United Methodist Church since moving to Wadsworth in 2002 and was active most recently as a trustee and was involved with many mission trips.
Russ is survived by his wife Diane, daughter and son-in-law Sara and Joseph Kemerley, son and daughter-in-law Wesley and Nicole Brasse and one grandson Keagan.
There are two brothers and sisters-in-law Dave and Betty Brasse of Litchfield and Philip and Laura Brasse of Chicago, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Elva and Bill Dunham of Lodi, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debbie and Mike Cooper of Spencer and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00AM, Saturday July 14, 2012 at Wadsworth United Methodist Church, 195 Broad St., Wadsworth with Pastor Don Ebert officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church from 10 – 11AM

Russ has shared his smile and attitude of gratitude as well as his faith throughout his battle with illness. His family would like to thank all those who helped during this time.
