Karen “Miller” Brown, 68, of Copley, Ohio passed away January 3, 2018. She was born March 6, 1949 in Akron, Ohio to the late Don and Suz Miller.

Karen loved animals, especially dogs. She also enjoyed soaking up the sunshine, trips to Cook Forest, doing puzzles, watching birds, OSU and WVU football, and was an avid reader. She was happiest when she was home surrounded with her family. She graduated from Firestone HS in 1967 and Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio in 1971. She taught in the Atlanta, Georgia school system and later at St. Matthew’s in Ellet, Ohio. She also tutored for many years in Wadsworth, OH. She then became a loving wife and devoted mother. She was instrumental in running her husband’s successful baton camps and competitions.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Harry Brown .

She is survived by daughters Ashley (Ben) LeFevre and Brittany Rogers; granddaughter, Rory; sisters Kim Stimack, Kathy (George) Van Doros; dear friend and sister-in-law Carol Brown Shaar; brother-in-law James (Tracy) Brown; sister-in-law Susan (Tom) Fister; grand dogs, Sonny Moon, Izzy, and Mackenzie. Also many nieces, nephews, great nephews and nieces, and special friends and neighbors.

Family will receive friends 4-6pm Monday January 8th at the HIlliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, Ohio. Where a funeral service will be conducted at 6pm. Fr. Thomas McCann officiating.
