Obituary

Michael
Buccitelli
Wadsworth

Michael Buccitelli suddenly passed away on February 1st at his home in Wadsworth.

He was born in Aliquippa, PA, and raised in Wadsworth.
A graduate of Akron University and worked for many years at Jane Addams Resource Corporation in Chicago.

A good-humored and charismatic man, Michael thrived around others and charmed many of them. He had the admirable habit of checking in on those he loved and listening with interest when they spoke.

Michael was a loyal and lifelong friend to many – especially his dear childhood friends from Wadsworth, and the group of friends golfed with annually at Gull Lake, MI.

An imaginative, playful guy, Michael kept a part of childhood wonder alive in his heart and shared it with his nieces and nephews, who grew up fending off Michael’s “knuckle sandwiches,” and grew into adults who appreciated his reliably hilarious jokes and always valuable bits of hard-earned wisdom. To brothers and sisters, Michael was more than a sibling. He was a friend.

He was the author of his own life. We will miss him dearly.

Michael is survived by sisters, Pam (Joel Lawitts) and Lisa (Jim Bruggeman), his brother, Mark (Sharon), a niece, Samantha, and four nephews, Zakree, Jacob, Benjamin, and Nathaniel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Tullio, and his brothers, Joseph and Frank.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9th from 6-8 at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, Wadsworth, Ohio. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 10th at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Wadsworth OH at 9:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Friends of Wadsworth trails www.fowt.org <http://www.fowt.org>; Marianne’s Closet; www.mariancloset.orgWadsworth <http://www.mariancloset.orgWadsworth> FISH www.wadsworthfish.org;EcoViva <http://www.wadsworthfish.org;EcoViva> (Central American Nonnprofit) www.ecoviva.org <http://www.ecoviva.org>
