Richard William Camp, 80, passed away December 28, 2023. Richard was born in Akron Ohio on November 28, 1943 to the late Virgil and Audra (nee Amstutz).

Richard enjoyed woodworking, hiking, reading history, listening to music , but his greatest joy was watching his children grow.

He’s a graduate of Buchtel High School, he completed his undergraduate degree in marketing at the University of Akron. And obtained his Masters in business at Baldwin Wallace University. He was a member of The Chapel and served as a deacon, an usher for many years, and as a leader (Ranger) in boys brigade with his children. He was a leader that lead with few words, but lead by showing a great example.
He served in Vietnam and completed his time of service in the Army as a 1 lieutenant, in the 119th Transportation corps

He is survived by his wife Diane Camp (nee Hardison) of 39 years. Sons, Zachariah Camp and Mackenzie (Amy) Camp, sisters; Carolyn Griffin and Cynthia Strubbe and nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends 11:30am-12:30pm on Thursday Jan. 4, 2024 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, Ohio, where Funeral Service will be conducted at 12;30pm. Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made to The Chapel in Green.
