Catherine L. Dunkle, 93, of Wadsworth died Saturday June 21, 2014. She was born on December 30, 1920 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to the late Louis and Louise Bauer. Mrs. Dunkle was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was retired from the Wadsworth City Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband David L. Dunkle in 1988, son David P. Dunkle, grandson Thomas Dunkle, Great grandson Andre Stover, son-in-law Chris Meister and her siblings: Louise Johnson, Mary Poder, Paul Bauer and Lousie Bauer.
Catherine is survived by her children Daniel Dunkle, Mary Nichols and Martha Dunkle all of Wadsworth, her grandchildren: Tina Parker, David Dunkle, Mary McDarby, Taya Cerullo, Trisha Sills, Bobby Loyd, Michael Dunkle, Danny Dunkle and Robin Dunkle. There are 20 great grandchildren her special cousin Bobby Boeglin and several additional cousins also surviving.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 272 Broad St. Wadsworth. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
