Wadsworth

Richard C. Chamber, “Bo Dad” 77, of Wadsworth passed away at home October 19, 2023. Richard was born on October 2, 1946 in Wadsworth Ohio.
As a 32nd Degree Mason, he was a member of Wadsworth Lodge 385 F&AM, and a member of The Valley of Akron.

Richard retired from the Morton Salt after 45 years of service. He also worked for the Wadsworth News Banner, Medina Gazette and managed the Movie theatre in Wadsworth. He was a Trustee of the Medina Bird Club and organized their highly anticipated annual Corn Roast that everyone looked forward to.

He enjoyed eating out at his favorite restaurants and had special friendships with the staff at I-Hop in Seville, Sweet Henrie’s in Norton, Green Diamond in Barberton, Molley Brown’s in Portage Lakes, The Depot in Rittman and Alexandris in Wadsworth. He loved spending time on his Pontoon boat and fishing at Portage Lakes.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife Judy Chambers.

He is survived by his daughter, Christine (Steve) Britton; grandchildren Matt( Kendra) Blackburn and Robin (Bob) Szalabawka and great grandchildren; Talon, Matthew Kaisley, Amelia, Jason, Zane, special friend Donna and “Bo” his beloved dog.
