Thelma Chaney, 93 of Wadsworth passed away peacefully, March 12, 2016, at Barberton Summa Hospital after a brief illness. She was born January 8, 1923 in Zanesville, Ohio to the Late John and Viva Mae (Vickers) Acheson

She was a member of the Salvation Army and the Ladies Home League of Wadsworth.

Thelma is preceded in death by her daughters: Ann Powers, Ella Houseworth and Grace Schwede. Granddaughters: Kelly Phillips and Michelle Brousseau. Great grandson, Andrew Phillip and brother John Acheson and sister Alberta Robinson.

She is survived by her daughters: Judy (Jim) Van Zile of Rittman, Susan (Don) Kaufmann of Marshalville, Esther Huff of Wadsworth, Yvonne Rutherford of Grand Junction, Co. , Tracey Hill of Tunnel Hill, GA, son John Chaney of Shreve. Husband and best friend Dale Chaney. There are 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 5-7pm Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, Ohio. Where funeral services will be conducted 1pm Saturday, March 19, 2016. Interment will be at Hillcrest memorial Gardens.
