Richard A. Chaney, 89, of Wadsworth passed away June 30, 2022 following an extended illness. Richard was born on August 24, 1932 in Chicago IL to the late Chester and Ethel (Young) Chaney.

Richard enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was an avid sports fan especially the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Guardians (Indians).He retired from the Ford Motor company in Walton Hills. He proudly served in The Army National Guard.

Preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Chaney and son Bill Close. He is survived by his children; Debbie Chaney, Dani (Jim) Herald and Art (Crystal) Close, brother; Don Chaney, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and nephew, Mike Smith.

Services will be conducted Tuesday, July 12th at 1:30pm. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery at 1:15pm.
