Earl F. Clagett Sr., 81, of Wadsworth, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. He was born October 5, 1928 in Pitcairn, PA to the late Charles and Nora Clagett.
Mr. Clagett was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and was retired from Caterpillar Tractor after 32 years of service. He was a quiet man who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Isabelle McIllwe, Naomi Oaks, and brothers Charles and George.
Earl is survived by his wife Edith, with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage on June 26, 2010, his children; Earl Clagett Jr. of Cleveland, Barbara (Frank) Gedeon of Wadsworth, Charles “Bud” of Wadsworth, and Debora (Mike) Miller of Eastlake, his grandchildren Stefanie (Eric) Collins, Brian (Charity) Clagett, and Shannon (Jeffery Harkness Ashley) Gedeon, one great grandson Lennon Collins, and his sister Gertrude Miller.
The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, where funeral services will be conducted 11:30 AM Thursday with Deacon Richard Michney officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
