Edith LaVerne Clagett, age 86, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her residence in Wadsworth. Born Mar. 2, 1932 in Latrobe, PA to the late Clarence James and Elva Blanche (Campbell) Plummer. Edith was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always loved spending time with her family and friends. She frequently enjoyed crafting and sewing with her daughters and granddaughter. She had a fun, loving personality and always loved to play jokes on her grandchildren at Christmas time. She was an avid reader and her adventurous spirit lead her to enjoy traveling. She enjoyed spending time at home with her dogs and used all her free time to keep a tidy home. Edith was employed at Euclid General Hospital for 35 years in the Central Service Department where she retired as a Supervisor. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Earl F. Clagett, Sr., a sister Louise Goodwin, and a brother C. J. (Clarence) Plummer. Edith is survived by two sons: Earl F. Clagett, Jr. and Charles J. Clagett, two daughters: Barbara L. (Frank) Gedeon and Debora J. (Mike) Miller, grandson: Brian M. Clagett, two granddaughters: Stephanie M. Faehnle and Shannon L. Ashley, great grandson: Lennon O. Collins, and two sisters: Doris Carey and Margaret “Peggy” McFarland. Private Services with interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
