Mary Kathryn Colbert (Takacs), 65, died April 27, 2014 in Seattle, Washington. She was born May 9, 1948 in Wadsworth to the late Steve and Angie Takacs.

An avid horse rider, she enjoyed life and spending time with her friends.

Preceded in death by her sister Sondra Stringfield, she is survived by her brother Steve (Sharon) Takacs; sister Sue (Bill) Oberli; Aunt Molly Jurecic; special nieces Susan (Kent) and Kelly (Tim); special nephew William (Mary Beth); nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews, friends, and a special Aunt to Violet, Breiton, Daisy and Phoebe.

Her family would like to give special thanks to her Publicis Seattle Family for all of the kindness and help they gave her during her two year battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held Friday 12 Noon at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street in Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Private burial was held at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Helping Hoofs, a horse rescue and rehabilitation facility, also where her beloved horse Johnny Up is living, at 26295 Willard Road, Alfalfa, OR 97701 or HRCI for cancer research at 233 Fifth Ave, Suite 4A, New York, NY 10016.
