James A. Conway, (Art) 72 of Doylestown, passed away May 19, 2011 after 13 years of courageously battling Alzheimer’s. He was born August 15, 1938 in Boston, Mass. to the late Joseph and Helen Conway. Art proudly served in the US. Marine Corp. He was an active member of MT. Zwingli UCC. He was a retired mail carrier from the Wadsworth Post Office. Also a retired maintence tech. from the Medina Co. Achievement Center. James was an avid cyclist. He participated in Pedal to the Point and received honors for his 20 years of fundraising for the MS society. He also received honors for his commitment to the Red Cross Blood drives and personally donated many gallons. He is survived by he wife of 48 years, June (Swain) Conway, daughters Faith (Bill) King and Erin (Don) Bickley, son James Conway, granddaughters Emily and Amy King, brothers Joseph, Edward and Paul, sisters Ann Marie, Betty, and Helen. Proceded in death by his brothers Bill and Bobby. Family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 PM at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth. Funeral Services will be conducted 11 AM P Monday at Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ, 2172 S. Medina Line Rd. Interment will take place 10 AM (meet at 945AM at the Welcome Center)Tuesday May 23, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice, Green, Ohio or Adventest Community Service, Barberton, Ohio.
