George Cusma Jr. went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2011. Preceding his passing was his Mother Eleanor Cusma (Kavosick), sister Diane Traver (Cusma), friend Howard Cobb, and grandparents John and Rose Cusma and Joseph and Catherine Kavosick. George will be dearly missed by his wife Nancy of 28 years, his father George Cusma Sr., sister Cindy Durbin, son Guy Cusma, son Jason Cusma with wife Gretchen, and grand-daughters Gianna and Tristan. George leaves behind his beloved labs Lacy and Benelli, and his cherished lake house on Seneca Lake. George honorably served his country as a U.S. Marine during Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medals for his courage, bravery, and concern for his Military Brothers. George will be remembered by his long-time friends that he shared many memories with while hunting and fishing. George’s most treasured times were spent at his lake house on Seneca Lake.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 5 at 12:00 Noon at Dusty’s Landing, 4764 Dustys Road, Akron, OH 44319. A memorial service with military honors will be conducted at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. God Bless.
