Marie “Elaine” Daigle, 89, died peacefully October 25, 2022, in Hudson, OH.

Born in Webster and raised in Gardner MA. Elaine resided in Wadsworth for 50 years after living overseas with her family in France and New Zealand. She loved traveling, visiting more than 26 countries across three continents, embracing cultures and people around the world. When not traveling, she could often be found going out to eat with her friends and family, shopping (sometimes as a sport), mentoring/sponsoring people in difficult circumstances, finding peace in nature, or engaging in prayer. She was a graduate of The University of Akron OH in 1985 where she received her BA in French with a Business minor at age 52 all while raising 7 children. She is a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Wadsworth OH, participating in Perpetual Adoration and was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Elaine (aka Mèmé) is survived by children Marc and wife Tess of Concord MA and their children Anna (Jon Donnell) Peter and Jon (Amanda), Brenda Daigle Thomason of Richmond VA and her sons Wil (Monica Liu) and Noah, Cathy Wheaton and husband, John of Hudson OH and their children Hannah (Adam Miller), Josh and Nate, Linda Daigle and wife, Susan Doremus of Cincinnati OH, Dave of Akron OH and his children Sam and Delilah, Eric and wife Theresa of Seattle WA and their children Solène and Sophia, great grandchildren Fiona, Ayla, Charlie, Silas, and Ellie, sister Claire and husband, Don Allain and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Al Daigle, her parents Thomas and Blanche Cazeault, stepmother Imelda, son Greg and brother Roland Cazeault.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 30th from 3-5 pm at Hilliard & Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman Street Wadsworth where the Rosary will be recited at approximately 4:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday October 31st at 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 272 Broad Street, Wadsworth OH, please meet at church, the Interment will follow at Woodlawn.
