David B. Hilbert, 62, of Millersburg, passed away unexpectedly July 20, 2017. David was born July 10, 1955 in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late Frederick and Evelyn Hilbert.

David graduated Wadsworth High School in 1973. He then went on to graduate Kentucky Christian College in 1984. He pursued his love of ministry as a Reverend for a church in Sullivan, Ohio. Dave then went on to work for the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office as a law enforcement officer. Dave enjoyed going to Jitters Coffee House with friends, loved his bird, Buddy, and his Harley motorcycle. He was also a brother of the Canton Lodge No. 60 F. & A. M.

David is survived by his sister Ruth Hughes; brothers, Rick Hilbert, John (Christine) Hilbert, Gary Hilbert; nieces Bev (Kevin) Long and Brittany (Joseph) Housel; and nephews Steven and Logan Hilbert.

Family will receive friends Monday, July 24, from 5-8pm at Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11am with Pastor Mike Decker officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
