Richard L. “Dick” Davis, 78, of Wadsworth, passed away on May 26, 2023. He was born on November 11, 1944 in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Dick enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with family. He spent much of his time helping others and enjoyed volunteering, assisting with Meals on Wheels, serving on the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the Senior Citizens Commission, Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation, and the Wadsworth Drug Free Community Coalition. He retired as an engineer from Bridgestone (Firestone) in 2002 after 35 years.

Dick was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Davis, and his mother, Maxine E. Davis.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Jeannine; daughter, Kelly (Mark) Byers; grandchildren, Christopher (Leah) Byers and Jonathon Byers; father, James R. Davis Sr.; siblings, Jacqueline (Michael) Hamilton, James R. Davis Jr., Carla (Charles) Hunt, and Paula Jo Grubbs.

The family will receive friends from 12-2pm on Friday, June 2 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N Lyman St, Wadsworth, 44281, where a funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Deacon Roger Klaas officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
