Herman Peter Dockus, 91, went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2010.
Herman was a WWII Veteran and owned and operated the Maple Valley Greenhouses in Copley for over 30 years. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, Scrabble, word puzzles, dancing the polka, and he will be remembered for his dedication to his family.
Herman was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Eleanore, who died on June, 9, 2010.
He is survived by his brother Leonard (Ginny) of Ocala, FL, children; Elaine Cowart of Edwardsville, IL, Dianne (Ed) Just of Wadsworth, Dale (Carlene) Dockus of Cordova, TN, and Jean (Keith) Calvert of Guntersville, AL, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Wadsworth Pointe and Hospice of Medina County for their compassionate care.
A memorial service will be held for Herman & Eleanore on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 146 High St., Wadsworth. Friends may visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM.
