Donald Blackburn, 70, 0f Wadsworth died Sunday July 20, 2014. He was born April 6, 1944 in Canada, KY. Mr. Blackburn was a 7 year veteran of the U.S. Navy spending 2 tours in Vietnam and was retired form the Ford Motor Co., Brookpark after 36 years of service.
Don enjoyed gambling, cross stitching, quilting, reading western novels and Ice Tea, unsweetened double lemon.
He was preceded in death by his twin sister Dorothy Webb and father Basil Blackburn.
Don is survived by his wife Donna of Wadsworth, son Ryan of Greenville, OH, his mother Nancy Graber and brothers Dennis (Carol), Michael all of Wadsworth and Wallace (Ella) of Medina. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and his dear friends Steve and Chris Britton.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday (TODAY) at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where the Rosary will be Recited at 8:00pm. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
