Betty Jane Doyle, 95, passed away July 5, 2016. She was born in Wadsworth to Winifred (Phythyon) and William Standen. After graduating from Wadsworth High School in 1939, she worked at Babcock & Wilcox Company in Barberton. Betty married Joseph Doyle in 1943, and they were members of First Christian Church in Wadsworth. After raising three children and retiring from Charles Bruning Company (Cleveland and Akron) in 1979, she and Joe moved to Lehigh Acres, FL. Retirement provided time for her to enjoy golf and bridge and visits from children/grandchildren.

Betty was a loving wife to her husband, Joe, of 62 years (deceased 2005) and loving mother to their three children. She is survived by their son, Bill (Lincoln, NE) and daughter, Pat Marcell (Naples, FL); 10 grandchildren and 18 great-granchildren. Daughter, Lynn, preceded her in death in 1995.

Family and friends are invited for refreshments at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home (174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth) on Saturday, August 27, at 9 a.m. before driving to the graveside service at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Jim Singleton officiating.
