Obituary
Leo L. Doyle, age 89, passed away after a brief illness on February 18, 2023. Leo was born in Glenville, WV on January 28, 1934, and lived in Wadsworth for over 70 years.
Leo worked in the Nuclear Power Division at Babcock & Wilcox for 43 years, retiring in 1996, and he was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church in Wadsworth, OH. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Ohio sports, rarely missing watching an Indians, Browns or Cavaliers game. “Papaw” also loved watching granddaughter Mackenzie hit homeruns at her softball games. He enjoyed racing stock cars and was a fan favorite and track champion several years at Wayne County Speedway and Barberton Speedway, as well as being inducted to the Hall of Fame at Wayne County Speedway.
Leo is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Doyle, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage; children Jaley (Bruce) Fulton of Bothell, WA, Linda (Phil) Stone, Bob (Barb) Doyle, and Chuck (Jessica) Doyle, all of Wadsworth, OH, Donna Doyle of Gary, MN; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son David Doyle of Craigsville, WV and grandson David Boyer of Wadsworth, OH. His laughter, sense of humor and big hugs will be greatly missed by his family and so many friends.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth, OH. Pastor Mike Decker will officiate the service at 11AM on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Hilliard-Rospert, with interment following at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth, OH. `
