Obituary
Donald I. Dressler, Sr., 95, of Wadsworth died December 15, 2010. He was born November 20, 1915 in Wadsworth to the late Charles and Maude Dressler. Mr. Dressler was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a member of Wadsworth VFW Post #1089 and The American Legion Post #170, a member of the Wadsworth Eagles and Barberton Elks. He was the owner of Dressler Plumbing and Heating for many years. Donald then went to work for Robertson Plumbing Supply and retired from The Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #219. He was an avid bowler, was inducted into The Medina County Bowlers’ Hall of Fame, Tri-County Bowler’s Hall of Fame and was the secretary of the Wadsworth Bowling Association for many years. He was a life member of Grace Evangelical Church and was the first manager of Menwa Apartments doing so for 9 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Margery, 5 siblings and his grandson Robert Dressler. Don is survived by his children, Donald, Jr. (Cindy) Dressler of Moore, OK, Linda Pakulis of Wadsworth and Barbara (Jerry) Stewart of Norton. There are 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and his brother, Howard Dressler of Medina. The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Monday at The Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 124 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 146 High St., Wadsworth. Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
