Howard E. Dressler, 91, of Wadsworth, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011at Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina, OH. He was born on January 24, 1920 at home to the late Charles and Maude Dressler.
Howard was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a 50 year member of the Wadsworth Lodge 385 F & AM, was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 32 years of service, enjoyed the church bowling league was an avid golfer at RidgeTop Golf Course and was a huge sports fan.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Harriet C. (nee Gates) Dressler, brothers Charles, Donald, Wade, Wilson, sisters Marion & Helen.
Howard is survived by his loving wife Jane (nee Gooch) Dressler, Sons John, Daniel (LaVonna), daughter Ann (Scott) Kemp, stepson Tom (Audrene) Freeze and his sister-in-law Mary (Reidel) Dressler. His grandchildren Bret, Nicole, Ryan (Amber) and great- granddaughter Zoey Dressler along with many surviving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday June 6, 2011 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where Masonic Services will be conducted at 8PM. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday June 7, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, 146 High St. Wadsworth, with Revs. Daniel J. Cammarn and Ann Paynter officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
