Robert Ennis Earley, 68, of Wadsworth went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 16, 2010. He was born in Wadsworth, OH on February 19, 1941 to the late William R. and Minnie (nee Byrd) Earley.
Mr. Earley was a life member of First Baptist Church where he was the treasurer for many years and also sang in the Men’s Chorus. He was a graduate of Wadsworth High School and Bluffton University, and was a member of the band at both schools.
He was retired from Morton Salt, where he was a chemist for many years.
Bob was an active and dedicated member of the Wadsworth Kiwanis Club, he participated in many Wadsworth Community activities and also a member of the Frontiers.
Mr. Earley leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sally, step-daughters Paulette Perkins of Akron and Gail Florence of Parma Hts., step-sons J. Lindsay Florence of South Euclid and Kory Florence of Wooster. There are 10 grandchildren including Gavin Florence that Bob cherished, two great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law William D. and JoJean Earley of Rockville, MD, and Richard and Waverly Earley of Toledo, two nephews Aaron and Christopher Earley, and two nieces Tracey Earley and Kathyrn Earley-Moore.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday at First Baptist Church, 198 Mills St. Wadsworth with Rev. Rufus Thompson officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth.
