Eileen Marie Alderfer, 99 years old.

Mom has achieved the ultimate destination of her journey; her entrance into heaven on November 20, 2014. She was born on October 25, 1915 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Hugh and Louise Doyle.

Eileen was a lifelong and devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. While raising a family, she worked at Ben Franklin and for the city of Wadsworth. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack; children Janice, Thomas, and John; brother Joseph Doyle and sister Doris Miller, she is survived by her daughters Betty (Harold) Ruppel of Wadsworth and Nancy (Ted) Payn of Lodi; son George “Bud” (Lorna) Alderfer of Easton, PA; grandchildren Jackie (Roger) Thornton, David (Adrienne) Ruppel, Nick (Barb Swedo) Ruppel, Melissa (Clayton) Spence, Steven (Amy) Payn, Jeff (Mary Ann Huang) Payn, Susan (Greg) Silloway, John (Brandi Baros) Alderfer and Leia (Adam) Goodell; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister Rose Golz and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 5 to 8 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street in Wadsworth, Rosary Service at 7:45 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Father Joseph Labak celebrant. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 260 Broad Street, Wadsworth, OH 44281 or Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256.
