Jeannette E. Ellebruch, 75, of Wadsworth, was called home by her Lord and Savior after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer on October 27, 2011. She was born on June 4, 1936 in Wadsworth to the late Ernest & Edna Gaugler.
Mrs. Ellebruch was a very active member of First Christian Church. She was a graduate of Wadsworth High School Class of 1954 and received her nursing degree from the University of Akron and Akron General Medical Center. During her nursing career she worked at Akron General, Barberton Citizen’s Hospital, Altercare of Wadsworth and the Barberton Health Department. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Jeannette always put her family first, enjoyed sewing, loved to cook and bake. She had an incredible faith.
She was preceded in death by her brother Milton Gaugler and son in law Greg Harris.
Jeannette is survived by her husband Russ with whom she would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on November 16, 2011, her daughter Debbie Harris of Wadsworth, son Dean (Kathy) Ellebruch of Wadsworth, daughter Lisa (Todd) Krochta of Medina, grandchildren Luke and Jessica Ellebruch, Dave Harris, Ashley, Hannah, and Halley Krochta, brother Leslie (Polly) Gaugler, sister Eileen Arnett of Akron and many friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, from 5-8PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth, with Reverend James Singleton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church or the McDowell Cancer Center at AGMC.
