Russell E. Ellebruch, 82, of Wadsworth passed away peacefully June 27, 2018. Russ was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on July 1, 1935 to the late George and Mary (Wenhart) Ellebruch.
Russ’ greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, boating, fishing, making sausage, polka music and golfing. Russ retired from WRE/ColorTech, a successful business he helped build and manage. Russ was an active member of First Christian Church. He also proudly served in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeannette (Gaugler) Ellebruch, son-in-law Greg Harris, sister Freda Schnitzler, brothers George, Andy, Martin, Herman, Mike, Bob and Adam.
Russ is survived by his children Debbie Harris, Dean (Kathy) Ellebruch, Lisa (Todd) Krochta and grandchildren Luke (Marissa), David, Jessica, Ashley, Hannah (Calhan), and Halley. He also leaves behind his special friend and companion Rea Dot Sprang.
Family will receive friends 10-12 Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St. Wadsworth, Ohio , where a memorial service will be conducted at 12 noon . Pastor Sarah West and Karen Rule will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Ohio Western National Cemetery at a later date.
