Stella P. Evans, 93, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011, She was born on June 17, 1918 in Polk County, TN to the late Morton and Myrtle Burris. Mrs. Evans was a former member of the Akron Police Auxiliary and the Wadsworth Vintage Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie L. Evans in 1992, five brothers and one sister.
Stella is survived by her son and daughter in law Norman E. and Roberta Evans of Wadsworth and daughter and son in law Mona L. and Richard Lowe of Johnstown, OH. There are seven grandchildren: Ed (Sylvia) Evans, Brian (Tami) Evans, Rick (Patty) Evans, Steve (Rose) Evans, Ron (Missy) Evans, Eric Lowe and Kelly Lowe, her good friend Deloris Baughman, 14 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Apostolic Christian Home and the staff of Hospice of Wayne County.
The family will receive friends 9:30AM – 10:30AM Saturday at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30AM. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
