George A. Farley, 85, of Wadsworth, OH, died May 15, 2024. His entire working life involved automobiles; he was a long-time employee of Pace Pontiac and Jay’s Auto. George’s interests were cars, cats, and “collecting things never-to-be-thrown away.”
George, the oldest child of Virginia (Zet) and Edward T. Farley, was the last of the Farley boys. His brothers Edward (Boom), Barton (Barry), and Herb preceded him in death as did his dear friend Roy Wilson.
George is survived by his sister Darleen and her wife Cyndi Marvin and his dearest friends Karen Wilson and Garry and Kebra Wilson Hahn whom George treasured as family. His nieces and nephews also survive.
Contributions to the no-kill animal shelter, rescue, or humane society of your choice, especially those protecting cats, are fitting tributes to George.
Visitation will be at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth, followed by his memorial service at 5:00 pm
