Floyd S. Bailes, 81, of Wadsworth, passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017. He was born Feb. 6, 1936 in West Va. to the late Woodrow and Lena Bailes.

Mr. Bailes was retired from Ohio Edison after 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking in his woodshop, being surrounded by his loved ones at family gatherings, and always enjoyed a good cigar and cold beer. He was a member of Wadsworth United Methodist Church, Akron Jaycees, Firestone Country Club, Wadsworth VFW Post 1089, Wadsworth American Legion Post 170, Wadsworth Moose Lodge #2070, Barberton Hungarian Club, and Early Ford V8 Club of America.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Lynn (Bailes) Costilow and sister Martha Choate.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Anita; daughter Cheryl (Greg) Hanna of Wadsworth; son, Daniel Bailes of Barberton; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8pm at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11am at the funeral home.
