Carla K. Fonte (Matlack), 53, of Wadsworth, OH passed away on February 13, 2018 following a battle with cancer. She was born on September 16, 1964 in Chesterhill, Ohio, the eldest daughter of Howard & Sharon (Welch) Matlack. Carla is survived by her loving husband of 26 years Mark A. Fonte; sons Chase and Cole; sister Vickie Matlack and brother Randy Matlack. Father and mother in-law, Frank & Deana Fonte, Brother and sister in laws, Frank & Vicki Fonte, Lisa & Bobby Robinson, and Theresa & Darrell Gooding. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Carla graduated in 1982 from Federal Hocking H.S. in Stewart, OH and received her B.S. from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in 1986. She moved to Columbus, OH in 1986 to begin her employment with Executive and Employee Benefits (E&E). Mark and Carla married on June 8th, 1991, later moving to Northeast Ohio. She loved her 27 years at Wooster Community Hospital; and ended her career there, as the VP of Information Systems.

She was an active member and volunteer at Northside Christian Church. She found most of her enjoyment raising her two sons and spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Friday at Northside Christian Church, 7615 Ridge Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44281 where funeral services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday with Pastor Robin L. Hart officiating. Interment will be in Sharon Cemetery.

Memorial contributions will be donated to the Wooster Community Hospital Foundation in Carla’s honor.
