Obituary
Daniel T. Foster, 101, formerly of Wadsworth, more recently of Fairlawn passed away Friday, December 11, 2015. He was born on February 10, 1914 in St. Paul, MN to the late Thomas and Irene Foster. Mr. Foster was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran and was retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wadsworth where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, an Acolyte, was a founder of the Sacred Heart St. Vincent De Paul Society, and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a former Hospice volunteer, Meals on Wheels volunteer, an avid golfer and bridge player.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Susan Christine, brother Jack Foster, sister Dorothy Jastrow and daughter-in-law Cynthia Foster.
Dan is survived by his wife Lois, with whom he celebrated 75 years of marriage; daughter Colleen (H. Thomas) Sanders of Macungie, PA; sons Thomas (David Hall) of San Francisco, CA and Jack of Akron. There are 3 grandsons; Robert, David, and Steven, 4 great grandchildren; Pandora, Damian, Grayson, and Maggie and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Monday in the east nave of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St., Wadsworth where a Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at 11am with Fr. Joseph L. Labak, Celebrant.
Private inurnment will be at a later time.
