Virginia “Marie” Fowler, 97, formerly of Follansbee, WV more recently of Wadsworth, OH passed away Monday, February 6, 2012. She was born on March 2, 1914 in Proctor, WV to the late Louis and Laura Belle Trayon. Mrs. Fowler was a member of Northside Christian Church in Wadsworth, OH and Follansbee Church of Christ in Follansbee, WV.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Fowler in 1998 and son-in-law Walter Freese.
Marie is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law; Lynn (Dan) Minton of Wadsworth and Middy Freese of Follansbee, WV.
There are six grandchildren and their spouses; Judith (Carlos) Minton-Lopez of Mexico, Robert (Beth) Minton, Cynthia (Andy) Minton-White all of Louisville, KY, Paul (Martha) Freese, Kathleen(Rick) Neely all of Pittsburgh, PA and Michelle(Cris) Petrella of Weirton, WV and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5-7PM Wednesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, OH where service will follow at 7:00 PM. Friends and family will also be received Thursday 11-12 PM at the Follansbee Church of Christ, 861 Neville St. Follansbee, WV where funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Bill Cooper officiating.
Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Colliers, WV.
